Villa Santai Ubud stands out with its subtle and refined design finished off with crisp white tones and recycled boat timber furnishing. Located in the spiritual heartland of Bali, in sophisticated Ubud, the property enjoys marvellous vistas over the cascading rice terraces and swaying palm trees fringing the estate, and giving an unbeaten feel of the modern tropical oasis. Apart from the magnificent setting, the villa boasts impeccable contemporary interiors filled with white tones, natural light and classy design.
The heart of the retreat is the luminous and spacious living area, facing the shimmering pool stretching out to the forest-clad jungle ravine. Surrounded by local life, it’s hard to believe that the villa is only a 15-minute drive from the centre of Ubud boasting endless restaurants, art galleries and majestic temples.
Spanning to the dining area, the living room features the incorporated open-plan living, blurring lines between indoor and outdoor living. Guests are welcomed to experience the unparalleled tropical feel, provided by ample spaces cooled off with breeze and ceiling fans. If that sounds too extreme, the large glass doors can be easily closed off, so travellers could enjoy the air-conditioned comfort.
In the middle of the garden, outside the villa nestles the 15-meter long swimming pool offering awe-inspiring views of the lush river valley below. Hidden in the lush garden is a charming traditional gazebo designed for enjoying in-villa massage or practising yoga on the lap of nature.
Villa Santai Ubud houses five bedrooms, three of which come with king-sized beds and two include queen-sized beds. Four rooms are located within the main building – two on the ground floor and two bedrooms occupy the upper level. The remaining guest suite is tucked away in a stand-alone garden bungalow. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.
Villa Santai Ubud is located in a tiny local village of Lodtunduh, just outside the famous Ubud town. There is a WS Art Studio, where guests are invited to learn silverwork, woodcarving and batik making close by. For more entertainment and sightseeing options, the centre of Ubud is around 15 minutes away by car, where seemingly endless restaurants, bars, shops, spas and art galleries fight for tourist attention.
