What to Do in Ubud

A visit to Ubud is incomplete without a visit to Tegenungan Waterfall. Between thick woods is a vast clearing with a waterfall gushing through. This is the beautiful Tegenungan Waterfall. Getting to the waterfalls is a short walk from the entry point and you might encounter smaller waterfalls on the way there (depending on weather conditions). However, this place is beautiful year round. A visit to the Elephant Cave Temple (Goa Gajah), Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal, Pura Taman Saraswati and Gunung Kawi is interesting and offers a peek into the heritage of the beautiful island. The Monkey Forest is exactly as it sounds. It’s a beautiful forest with over 600 monkeys that call it home. Several intricate carvings have been installed all over the forest and most have camouflaged beautifully with their surroundings. Although exploring this forest and its adorable inhabitants can be exciting, be careful of yourself and your belongings. The Bali Swing is a famous tourist attraction. Located above rice paddies, the adult-sized swings give you a brilliant view of the beautiful paddy fields. If you want to try one of the most expensive coffees in the world, you should have a cup of Kopi Luwak coffee.
